KS2 · Years 5–6 · Spanish
Years 5 and 6 — a full primary Spanish curriculum, from a first “¡Hola!” to a confident handover to Year 7.
Eight units a year, each six 30-minute lessons, planned for two lessons a week across 30 teaching weeks: 48 unit lessons plus review and cultural lessons. Year 5 starts with no Spanish at all. Every unit is built around one “Can I…?” question and follows the same EPI route: a sentence builder, modelling and sound noticing, listening and reading, structured speaking and writing, recall checks, fluent repetition and a short exchange with a new partner. The topics match Year 7, so secondary Spanish builds on them rather than starting again.
Every unit is a PowerPoint viewed on the site. Word, PDF and audio files can be downloaded and kept. Members can also download PowerPoints to edit and keep — three a month on a yearly plan, one a month on a monthly plan. New resources are added regularly.
Units are PowerPoint files, viewed on the site in the browser. Word, PDF and audio files can be downloaded and kept. Members can also download PowerPoints to edit and keep: three a month on a yearly plan, one a month on a monthly plan. Buying a unit outright includes its PowerPoint to keep.
Resources are designed to be broadly compatible with AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. GCSE units are most closely aligned to AQA 8652 (French) and AQA 8692 (Spanish), with Cambridge IGCSE 0520 / 7156 (French) and 0530 / 7160 (Spanish) folders organised by the five Cambridge modules.
Each KS3 and GCSE topic pack covers 7–9 lessons, and each KS2 unit six 30-minute lessons. Some larger topics include additional extension or revision materials on top of that.
